All the related professions are gathering for the fourth occasion since 2014 \u2013 including the representatives of the food industry, baking and confectionery industry, hotel and catering industry, packaging industry and those involved in the field of gastronomy \u2013 to attend the most prestigious regional forum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hungexpo.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/SIRHA_2020_fejlec_1920x500_EN-1024x267.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6820\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The regional\nevent of Europe\u2019s most significant International HoReCa and Retail Show is not\nsimply a fair: apart from presenting the innovations of the industry, it provides\nopportunity to exchange experiences, build professional relationships and get\nacquainted with industry trends while bests of the different professions put\ntheir skills to the test. The biennial event most recently attracted 21,500\nprofessional visitors to the HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Center. Based\non the preliminary expectations of the organizers and the number of\nregistrations, this year will provide an equally impressive turnout, which is\nno surprise as the exhibition will again offer a wide range of attractions for\nits professional attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2020, Sirha\nBudapest will host such prestigious events as the Hungarian finals of the\nBocuse d\u2019Or chef competition, the Sirha Budapest Dessert Competition, the National\nMass Catering Championship as well the national finals of the international\ncompetition for young chefs, the Jeunes Chefs R\u00f4tisseurs, which will be\ndebuting on Sirha Budapest for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally,\nthe trade exhibition also features numerous conferences, demonstrations and\nover 300 exhibitors presenting their products, services and innovations across\nan area of over 30,000 square meters. The level of international interest is\nclearly illustrated by the fact that nearly 30% of the exhibiting businesses\nare from foreign countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main professional\npartner of Sirha Budapest is METRO Kereskedelmi Kft., whilst its main media\nsponsor is Trade magazine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Competitions\nat Sirha Budapest <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sirha Budapest\nwill again host a number of professional competitions, most prominently the <strong>Bocuse\nd\u2019Or<\/strong> <strong>Hungarian Selection<\/strong>, taking place on the second day of the\nexhibition, in the competition area of Hall A.The winner will have the honour of representing the country at\nthe European finals of the world\u2019s most prestigious chef competition taking\nplace in Tallinn in May. This year\u2019s Hungarian finalists include Istv\u00e1n Veres,\nEszter Pal\u00e1gyi, Zsolt Haraszti, G\u00e1bor Csik, Tibor Husz\u00e1r and Roland Kelemen. (More\ninformation on the competition is available in the press release of the\nHungarian Bocuse d\u2019Or Academy.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the first\ntime this year, Sirha Budapest will be hosting the Hungarian preliminaries of\nthe international championship of young chefs. Based on the terms of the\ncompetition set forth by the French Cha\u00eene des\nR\u00f4tisseurs World Organization, the <strong>International Jeunes Chefs\nR\u00f4tisseurs<\/strong> competition may\nbe attended by young chefs working at restaurants and hotels operating in\nHungary. It is exceptionally important for the French network to support a\ndemanding level of international gastronomy which observes traditions, yet is\nstill willing to make seemingly daring innovations, without forgetting the\nfamous Hungarian traditions in this field. The goal of the <strong>Jeunes Chefs\nR\u00f4tisseurs<\/strong> is to spread the principles of <strong>sustainable gastronomy<\/strong>, which\ninclude using materials without squandering resources, conscious selective\nwaste collection, careful water consumption and also clean, hygienic, orderly\nwork. Through hosting the competition on a yearly basis, the organizers wish to\nhelp the young chefs employed in Hungary achieve a higher level of quality in\ntheir daily work by preparing for and attending the competition, while also\ngaining competition experience for future contests. The first place winner also\nearns the right to enter the Jeunes Chef R\u00f4tisseurs 2020 World Championship\nhosted this year in September, in Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hosted for the seventh time, the finals of this year\u2019s <strong>National Mass Catering Championship<\/strong> (K\u00d6SZ) will take place on the\nthird day of the exhibition with the involvement of inquiring parties and\nsupporters. The goal of the competition is to promote and raise the quality of\npublic catering, while reinforcing dining culture, preserving seasonal traditions\nand customs, yet still modernizing dishes and adapting them to\nthe demands of the current age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This\nyear, the theme of the competition is \u201csummer dishes in the spirit of tradition\nand renewal\u201d, which obligatorily include ratatouille made of fresh ingredients,\nhoney and at least two domestic, fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits. The\nfinal three-course meal must be one that could be provided and delivered\nthrough public catering with a raw material cost of no more than HUF\n550\/serving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nnational finals will feature the top 12 teams from the preliminaries who have a\ntotal of 3 hours to complete their meals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the very\nbeginning, the <strong>Sirha Budapest Dessert Competition<\/strong> has been an\nindispensible part of the exhibition, organized by Zolt\u00e1n Kolonics<a>, one of Hungary\u2019s\nmost widely renowned creative pastry chefs. The goal of the competition is to\nprovide an opportunity for the up-and-coming and dedicated talents of the\nbusiness to demonstrate their technical skills and preparedness as well as their\ninnovative approaches and artistic skills. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hosted by the National Trade Corporation of the Hungarian Confectionery\nIndustry, the exhibition will also feature the now traditional <strong>J\u00e1nos Pataki\ncommemorative competition. <\/strong>The attendees of the contest,\nadults and students alike will put their skills to the test in the categories\nof cake decoration, confectionery artistry and fondant flowers. Their works\nwill be on display on all three days of the exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The <\/strong>National Trade Corporation of the Hungarian Confectionery Industry<strong> is also\nresponsible for hosting the live jurying of the Cake of Hungary 2020 competition\nat Sirha Budapest. During the jurying process, the competitors and the audience\ncan see and hear the evaluation of the submissions and thus the members of the\nprofession will have a chance to get acquainted with the cakes entered into the\ncompetition and gain inspiration for their own creations<\/strong>. When\nevaluating the cakes, the names of the people responsible for creating the\ncakes are not known to either the jury or the audience. The professionals will have\na chance to follow the event on a projector screen from the stands set up for\nthe audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the fourth\ntime, Hungexpo Zrt. and Trade magazine will be hosting the <strong>Sirha Budapest Innovation\nProduct Competition<\/strong> with the purpose of allowing exhibitors to present\ntheir innovative products and services launched on the market in between two\nexhibitions. The works of the finalists of the various categories will be\npresented to visitors in highlighted locations. This year\u2019s competition\ncategories include: food and drink, baking and confectionery industry products,\ntechnologies (kitchen appliances, baking industry devices, food industry\ntechnologies, hygienic technologies, software), hotel industry products,\nfurniture, fabrics, decorations, table settings, packaging industry and\nlogistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Further professional attractions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sirha Budapest offers numerous other professional attractions taking\nplace simultaneously with the exhibition and competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the novelties at the exhibition is the <strong>Sirha Business Caf\u00e9<\/strong>, offering workshops in a\nrange of different themes, as well as great coffee, every day of the exhibition. Visitors can receive answers from the\nemblematic figures of the profession to business development questions tied to\nthe coffee, confectionery and baking, as well as the\nbar industry and familiarize the latest trends and the greatest challenges the\nmarket now faces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the very beginning, the <strong>Future\nStore<\/strong> \u2013 hosted by Trade magazine \u2013\nhas been a recurring fixture of the exhibition. On this occasion, the latest\ntrends will be presented in Hall A along the lines of three commercial concepts.\nOne of them is the unmanned store concept, another is the combined presence and\noperation of online shops and offline shops, and the third concept is the\ntraditional offline store that focuses on the shopping experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a\nprofessional exhibition, Sirha Budapest is a key forum for developing\ninternational ties, which is also supported by the only business development\nnetwork of the European Union and the world\u2019s largest such network, <strong>Enterprise Europe Network<\/strong> at the <strong>international brokerage event<\/strong>, hosted\nin cooperation with the PRIMOM Foundation. The purpose of the half day-long\nrapid business meetings is to facilitate the development of the international\nties of European SMEs at Sirha Budapest. Last time, a total of 138 participants\nconducted a total of 93 meetings, 53% of which were international discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Conferences, lectures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simultaneously to the finals of the National Mass\nCatering Championship, the <strong>Mass Catering Conference 2020<\/strong> event will take place,\nwhere participants can attend a range of lectures on quality ingredients, factors\ninfluencing consumer attitudes and economic-financial subjects. Important\nthemes of the conference include sustainability, economic sense and\nenvironmentally conscious operation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the\ncourse of the lectures and presentations of the <strong>Hungarian Bakery Association<\/strong>\non refrigeration technologies, participants can get acquainted with the\nadvantages of modern refrigeration solutions. Apart from the lectures,\nattendees can also receive product development suggestions as well as useful\nideas that can shape their awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside the competitions, the <strong>National Trade Corporation of the\nHungarian Confectionery Industry<\/strong> is also hosting multiple tasting sessions\nduring the exhibition, including the tasting of the award-winning ice creams of\nthe previous year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most significant\noutlets of the packaging industry is the food industry and this is also true in\nreverse: one of the main suppliers of the latter is the packaging industry. Therefore,\none of the important elements of the exhibition will be the conference entitled\n\u201cPackaging industry at the service of the food industry \u2013 new demands and\nsolutions\u201d as hosted by the<strong>Hungarian Association<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;of&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Packaging<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Materials Handling<\/strong><strong> (CSAOSZ)<\/strong>, for which the organizers are awaiting the\nattendance of packaging industry and logistics experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the exhibition, Wessling Hungary Kft. \u2013 the leading laboratory of\nHungary \u2013 will be hosting a professional discussion entitled <strong>H<\/strong><strong>ow to\nmanufacture better foodstuffs? \u2013 <\/strong><strong>Laboratory\ntests for delicious, safe and competitive products. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Useful information<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Venue:<\/strong><br>\nHUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Center<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(1101\nBudapest, Albertirsai \u00fat 10.)
