The winners were announced on March 26, 2019, and in the Educational \nEvent category, EuroSkills Budapest 2018 won an outstanding second \nplace. The Global Eventex Awards is one of the largest international \nevent competitions that have been awarded the most outstanding events \nsince 2009 in six different categories. In 2018, a total of 331 events \nwere nominated in 42 subcategories, from over 80 countries worldwide. \nWhen awarding prestigious recognition, design, creativity and innovative\n ideas, quality of service, efficiency and achievements were taken into \naccount. The members of the jury consisted of recognized and experienced\n experts and experts such as David Adler, founder of BizBash, Laura \nSchwartz, Clinton Administration Director, Stefania Conti-Vecchi, \nEVENTagist founder, or Thomas Wahl, President of the Danish Marketing \nAssociation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Last year’s EuroSkills competition, the European Championship for \nYoung Professionals, was held on 26-28 September 2018 at Hungexpo \nBudapest. organized by the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce. At the \nthree-day event, visitors were able to attend the competitions, \nconferences, lectures and professional events, and visitors had the \nopportunity trying different professions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the host venue HUNGEXPO the total area, six halls and an event \ntent, altogether nearly 60,000 square meters covered space were used. \nThe competitions took place in five event halls in 180-1600sqm size \ncompetition areas totalling 40thousand square meters. The conferences \nwere organized in two meeting rooms 100pax and 280pax The exhibition \ntotalled 6000 square meters with 45 exhibitors \u2013sponsors, member \ncountries and government bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the event in Budapest, nearly 525 competitors from 28 countries \nshowed their skills in 37 professions, with around 85,000 visitors.
